ODESSA CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU
After a career in broadcast television, I began working for the local Convention and Visitors Bureau as a Marketing/Communications Specialist in Odessa, Texas. Those duties include promoting the town of Odessa as a destination for corporate meetings, leisure, sporting events, and working with local entities on marketing strategies to meet our advertising goals. Working as a marketing specialist has showed me the ins and outs of advertising, graphic design, and managing a budget for a government entity. I also served as the sole web contributor, managing the organization's website and social media accounts.

Local 2 news/fox 24
In March of 2016, I packed my bags and moved to the infamous "Friday Night Lights" town of Odessa, TX to cover local and regional news. Since joining Local 2 and Fox 24, I learned to juggle multiple roles in the newsroom. In addition to general assignment reporting, I took on the role of the weekend anchor/producer/assignments editor to give an edge to my experience in journalism and mass communications. I've since worked as the sole evening anchor/producer for the first prime-time newscast in the Basin, Fox 24 News, the anchor of Good Morning Basin, and solo anchor/co-producer for Local 2 - First News at 11.

In addition to my experience at the University of South Carolina, working for WSPA-TV as a bureau political reporter in Columbia, SC paved the way for my broadcast journalism career. I started as a Multimedia Journalist Intern in July of 2015, quickly motivating myself to turn daily content to contribute to the newscast even though it was beyond my responsibilities. My coverage included Statehouse legislation, interviewing candidates in the 2016 Presidential Campaign and those who endorsed them, and establishing strong relationships with State and National Leaders.

miss south carolina world 2015
In July of 2015 I was awarded the opportunity to represent the Palmetto State on the Miss World America stage in Washington, D.C.. During my year as Miss SC World, I served as a spokesperson for South Carolina's "Operation Palmetto Employment" with the goal of employing veterans. Not only was this experience extremely exciting and rewarding, but it taught me self discipline as I prepared for the physical fitness challenge, public speaking skills, and I learned how to balance multiple roles as I started my career in TV News and mass communications.
